4TB of top-tier Gen4 speed tuned for the games you play most.
The WD_BLACK SN850X 4TB is a PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD for gaming PCs and high-end workstations. With reads up to 7,300MB/s, 1.2 million random read IOPS and Game Mode 2.0 predictive loading, it shortens load times and holds a large game or project library on a single drive.
Why Big Game Libraries Need Fast, High-Capacity Storage
Modern AAA games can exceed 150GB, and players often juggle several at once. Spreading a library across slower drives or deleting games to make room means longer loads and constant re-downloads.
The SN850X 4TB puts a large library on a top-tier Gen4 drive. Its WD_BLACK controller and TLC NAND sustain high speeds, while Game Mode 2.0 learns load patterns to pre-cache the data your games need.
Top-Tier Gen4 Gaming Performance
With up to 7,300MB/s reads and 1.2M IOPS, the SN850X is among the fastest PCIe 4.0 SSDs. It is well suited to DirectStorage titles, fast level loading and large media projects.
Game Mode 2.0 and Endurance
On Windows, WD_BLACK Dashboard enables Game Mode 2.0 and adaptive thermal management. The 2,400 TBW rating and 1.75-million-hour MTTF support years of heavy use.
