The HPE 804612-004 is a 1.6TB SATA 6Gb/s SSD based on the Intel DC S3610 (SSDSC2BX016T4P) with high-endurance MLC NAND. Supplied for HPE ProLiant servers in a small form factor carrier, it offers mixed-use endurance of about 3 drive writes per day for databases, logging and virtualization.

How to Install the HPE 804612-004 / SSDSC2BX016T4P SSD

1. Confirm your ProLiant model supports this drive and carrier type in the HPE QuickSpecs, and update the server firmware with the Service Pack for ProLiant.
2. Insert the drive into an empty SFF bay until the carrier latches; hot-plug is supported, so the server can stay powered on.
3. Open Smart Storage Administrator or the iLO storage page to confirm the drive is detected and healthy.
4. Create a new logical drive, add the SSD to an existing array, or use it as a replacement for a failed drive.
