Description

The BenQ TK710STi is a 4K UHD short throw laser projector for gaming and home entertainment. It delivers 3,200 lumens, 4.2ms response at 1080p/240Hz, HDR support, and an included Android TV dongle, projecting 100 inches from about five feet with a 20,000-hour laser.

Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution

4K, Low Lag, and Short Throw Rarely Come in One Projector

Gamers who want all three usually have to compromise. Short throw projectors have tended to be 1080p. 4K models need long rooms. And laser models, while convenient, were often slower than lamp-based gaming units.

The TK710STi combines them. A 0.69–0.83:1 lens with 1.2x zoom places a 100-inch 4K image from roughly 5 to 6 feet. Its laser phosphor source is rated for 20,000 hours in normal mode and 30,000 in Eco.

Response measures 4.2ms at 1080p/240Hz, and 10-bit processing with HDR and a 600,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio gives games and films strong depth. Horizontal and vertical keystone ease placement.

4K HDR Gaming From Five Feet

Dedicated game picture modes tune the image for different genres. Image sizes of about 30 to 300 inches are supported.

Smart Streaming and Lamp-Free Use

The bundled Android TV dongle provides streaming apps and Google Assistant. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs, RS-232, USB, and audio out are included; noise is 31dB (28dB Eco) and weight is 6.8 lbs.

Setup Instructions

How to Set Up the BenQ TK710STi

  1. Place the projector 5 to 6 feet from a 100-inch screen.
  2. Install the Android TV dongle in its bay and connect consoles to the HDMI 2.0 inputs.
  3. Adjust zoom, focus, and keystone.
  4. Sign in to Android TV over Wi-Fi and choose a game mode for play.
