Strong power delivery and four M.2 slots for Ryzen builds that need room to grow.
The Gigabyte X870 AORUS Elite WiFi7 is an ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) built on the X870 chipset. It combines a 16+2+2 phase VRM, PCIe 5.0 graphics, four M.2 slots, dual USB4, Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5GbE. It targets gamers and creators running Ryzen 9000 and 7000 processors.
Power Delivery and Storage That Keep Up with Ryzen 9
Top Ryzen processors can draw high current for long periods. On boards with smaller VRMs, that load raises temperatures and can reduce boost clocks during rendering, compiling or long gaming sessions.
The X870 AORUS Elite WiFi7 uses a 20-phase layout (16+2+2) with 16 phases for CPU core voltage, cooled by large heatsinks. Power stays steady under sustained load, which keeps performance consistent.
Storage is equally generous. Four M.2 slots support 2280 to 22110 drives, with Gen5 bandwidth on the CPU-connected slots and a Gen4 slot from the chipset, plus four SATA ports for hard drives.
PCIe 5.0 and USB4 for Future Hardware
The top x16 slot runs at PCIe 5.0, ready for current and next-generation graphics cards. Two rear USB4 Type-C ports deliver 40Gbps each, alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) ports, for fast external NVMe drives and docks.
Builder-Friendly Features
Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 and a Realtek 2.5GbE controller come standard. Eight fan and pump headers, a debug display and Realtek ALC1220 7.1 audio round out an ATX board (30.5 x 24.4 cm) that fits standard cases.
