The EX2300-48P uses fixed internal ac power supply and fan-cooled, so a failed component can be replaced without taking the switch offline (fixed-PSU model). Graceful Routing Engine switchover and nonstop bridging keep Virtual Chassis stacks stable during failures.

How to Set Up the Juniper EX2300-48P

1. Rack-mount the switch (or place compact models on a desk or wall), connect power, and keep the airflow path clear.
2. Connect the uplink ports to your aggregation or core switch using SFP+/QSFP optics or DAC cables, then patch access devices to the RJ-45 ports.
3. Run the Junos initial setup through the console port, J-Web or EZsetup, or claim the switch in Juniper Mist for zero-touch provisioning.
4. Configure VLANs, 802.1X, QoS, PoE priorities and Virtual Chassis, upgrade to the recommended Junos release, and commit the configuration.
