The Maxone 500GB (model 2519-500GB Grey) is an ultra slim portable external hard drive in a charcoal grey aluminum enclosure. It uses a 2.5-inch 5,400 RPM drive with a USB 3.0 interface and is bus-powered and plug-and-play, aimed at PC and laptop users who want simple, affordable backup storage.

How to Set Up the Maxone 500GB Portable Drive

1. Connect the included USB 3.0 cable to the drive and plug it into a USB port on your PC or laptop.
2. Wait for Windows to detect the drive; it appears in File Explorer as an external disk.
3. If you plan to use the drive with a Mac or another device, reformat it to exFAT for cross-platform compatibility.
4. Copy files or set up automatic backups, then use Safely Remove Hardware before unplugging the drive.
