SanDisk Extreme 1TB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter (SDSQXAV-1T00-GN6MA) – Up to 190MB/s

A terabyte of fast, rugged storage for 4K shooters and handheld gamers.

The SanDisk Extreme 1TB microSDXC card stores a terabyte of 4K video, photos, and games in drones, action cameras, phones, and handheld consoles. Its U3, V30, and A2 ratings support sustained 4K recording and smooth app performance, while the included adapter lets it work in full-size SD slots.

Why Card Speed Ratings Matter for 4K Video

Action cameras, drones, and phones record 4K video at high bitrates. If a card cannot sustain the required write speed, recording stops, frames drop, or the camera displays a card error, often at the worst moment.

The SanDisk Extreme 1TB is rated U3 and V30, meaning it sustains at least 30MB/s of continuous writing, the threshold most 4K cameras require. Its rated write speed of up to 130MB/s adds headroom for burst photos and high-bitrate modes.

1TB is a practical sweet spot for creators who shoot in 4K most days. It covers a full trip of drone and action camera footage, or a substantial game library on a handheld, at a lower cost per gigabyte than the 2TB card.

Faster Offloads After Every Shoot

Read speeds of up to 190MB/s are reached with compatible readers that support SanDisk’s extended UHS-I mode; standard UHS-I readers run at up to about 104MB/s. Either way, transferring footage to a laptop is much faster than with older Class 10 cards.

Expand Steam Deck and Switch Storage

Handheld consoles ship with limited internal storage. A 1TB A2-rated card gives room for many large titles and improves load behavior compared with older non-A2 cards.

How to Set Up the SanDisk Extreme 1TB microSD Card

1. Insert the card into your device with the contacts facing the correct direction, or use the SD adapter for full-size SD slots.
2. Format the card in the device you will record with, so the file system and folder structure match that device.
3. Set your recording mode; for 4K, confirm the camera recognizes the card as U3/V30 capable.
4. To transfer files, use a UHS-I card reader, and always eject the card in your operating system before removing it.
