SanDisk Extreme 32GB microSDHC UHS-I Card with Adapter (SDSQXAF-032G-GN6MA) – V30, A1

A rugged 32GB card for devices that only accept microSDHC.

The SanDisk Extreme 32GB microSDHC card delivers U3 and V30 recording performance for devices that need or only accept 32GB cards, such as some dash cams, older drones, Raspberry Pi projects, and security cameras. It reads at up to 100MB/s and writes at up to 60MB/s.

Why Card Speed Ratings Matter for 4K Video

Action cameras, drones, and phones record 4K video at high bitrates. If a card cannot sustain the required write speed, recording stops, frames drop, or the camera displays a card error, often at the worst moment.

The SanDisk Extreme 32GB is rated U3 and V30, meaning it sustains at least 30MB/s of continuous writing, the threshold most 4K cameras require. Its rated write speed of up to 60MB/s adds headroom for burst photos and high-bitrate modes.

Some devices, including older cameras, dash cams, and embedded boards, only support microSDHC cards up to 32GB. This card gives those devices the same rugged, V30-rated performance as larger Extreme cards.

Faster Offloads After Every Shoot

Read speeds of up to 100MB/s are reached with compatible readers that support SanDisk’s extended UHS-I mode; standard UHS-I readers run at up to about 104MB/s. Either way, transferring footage to a laptop is much faster than with older Class 10 cards.

Good Fit for Raspberry Pi and Embedded Devices

Single-board computers boot from microSD cards. The A1 rating improves random read and write performance, which helps operating systems and apps feel more responsive.

How to Set Up the SanDisk Extreme 32GB microSD Card

1. Insert the card into your device with the contacts facing the correct direction, or use the SD adapter for full-size SD slots.
2. Format the card in the device you will record with, so the file system and folder structure match that device.
3. Set your recording mode; for 4K, confirm the camera recognizes the card as U3/V30 capable.
4. To transfer files, use a UHS-I card reader, and always eject the card in your operating system before removing it.
