1. Power off and unplug the PC (or fully shut down the PS5), then ground yourself to prevent static discharge.
2. Locate a free M.2 M-key slot that supports PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe; check your motherboard manual for the best slot.
3. Insert the SSD at a slight angle, press it flat and secure it with the M.2 screw. For PS5, attach a heatsink first.
4. Power on, initialize the disk in Disk Management (GPT), create a volume, or format it from the PS5 storage menu.
