SanDisk Extreme 512GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter (SDSQXAV-512G-GN6MA) – V30, A2

Fast 512GB storage that keeps a full day of 4K recording on one card.

The SanDisk Extreme 512GB microSDXC card balances capacity and cost for 4K creators and mobile gamers. It records sustained 4K video in drones and action cameras, runs apps under the A2 standard, and transfers files at up to 190MB/s with compatible readers.

Why Card Speed Ratings Matter for 4K Video

Action cameras, drones, and phones record 4K video at high bitrates. If a card cannot sustain the required write speed, recording stops, frames drop, or the camera displays a card error, often at the worst moment.

The SanDisk Extreme 512GB is rated U3 and V30, meaning it sustains at least 30MB/s of continuous writing, the threshold most 4K cameras require. Its rated write speed of up to 130MB/s adds headroom for burst photos and high-bitrate modes.

512GB comfortably covers a full day of mixed 4K and high-resolution photo shooting, making it a strong everyday card for travel vloggers and drone operators who offload footage each evening.

Faster Offloads After Every Shoot

Read speeds of up to 190MB/s are reached with compatible readers that support SanDisk’s extended UHS-I mode; standard UHS-I readers run at up to about 104MB/s. Either way, transferring footage to a laptop is much faster than with older Class 10 cards.

A Strong Everyday Card for Creators

Many creators prefer 512GB cards because they hold a long day of footage without putting too many hours of recording on a single card.

How to Set Up the SanDisk Extreme 512GB microSD Card

1. Insert the card into your device with the contacts facing the correct direction, or use the SD adapter for full-size SD slots.
2. Format the card in the device you will record with, so the file system and folder structure match that device.
3. Set your recording mode; for 4K, confirm the camera recognizes the card as U3/V30 capable.
4. To transfer files, use a UHS-I card reader, and always eject the card in your operating system before removing it.
