The Juniper PWR-MX480-2520-AC-S is a 2520W high-capacity AC power supply for Juniper MX480 and MX240 universal routing platforms. It is hot-swappable, supports redundant configurations and draws up to 16A. It suits service providers and enterprises running MX routers with high-power line cards.

How to Replace the PWR-MX480-2520-AC-S

1. Confirm the part number is listed as supported for your Juniper MX480 or MX240 router, and confirm your AC circuit is rated for the supply’s input current.
2. If the device has a second working power supply, leave it running; otherwise schedule a maintenance window and power the device down.
3. Disconnect the AC or DC cord from the failed unit, release the latch and slide it out, then slide the new module into the empty bay until it locks.
4. Connect the power cord, check that the PSU status LED turns green, and confirm in the device CLI or management interface that the supply reports OK.
