The HPE 718939-B21 is the HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 570FLB Adapter, a FlexibleLOM card that adds two 10GbE ports to supported ProLiant BladeSystem c-Class server blades. It connects through the enclosure backplane, keeps mezzanine slots free, and suits virtualization and data center blade deployments.
Adding 10GbE to Server Blades Without Losing a Mezzanine Slot
Blade servers have limited expansion space, and every mezzanine slot used for networking is one less available for storage or additional fabrics. Many blade deployments also need consistent 10GbE across the enclosure for virtualization and storage traffic.
The 718939-B21 570FLB plugs into the dedicated FlexibleLOM Blade connector on supported ProLiant blades, adding two 10GbE ports that connect through the c-Class backplane to the enclosure interconnect modules. Mezzanine slots stay free for other uses.
Because FlexibleLOM is modular, the network adapter can be changed later without replacing the server blade.

The 718939-B21 supports low-latency 10GbE, SR-IOV, PXE boot, VLAN tagging and jumbo frames. These capabilities reduce CPU overhead and improve consistency for HPE BladeSystem c-Class data centers.
Installation and Compatibility
It connects through an HPE FlexibleLOM Blade (FLB) connector and is designed for HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen8/Gen9 and other FLB-equipped BladeSystem c-Class server blades. Supported media: backplane to c-Class interconnect modules.
How to Install the HPE 718939-B21
- Power down the server blade and remove it from the enclosure.
- Install the adapter in the FlexibleLOM connector and secure it.
- Reinsert the blade and confirm the enclosure interconnect modules support 10GbE.
- Install or update the latest drivers and firmware for your operating system or hypervisor, then configure IP addressing, teaming, VLANs or RDMA as needed.
