The Solidigm D7-P5620 1.6TB is a 2.5-inch, 15mm U.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe enterprise SSD rated for 3 drive writes per day. Built with 144-layer TLC NAND, it is designed for mixed and write-heavy workloads such as databases, caching, logging and virtualization where 1 DWPD drives would wear out too quickly.
Why Write-Heavy Workloads Need Higher-Endurance NVMe
Database transaction logs, caching tiers and busy virtualization hosts write large amounts of data every day. Read-intensive 1 DWPD SSDs can reach their endurance limits early in these roles, causing unplanned replacements.
The D7-P5620 is rated for 3 drive writes per day, giving roughly three times the write endurance of read-intensive drives with the same Gen4 NVMe performance. That makes it a dependable choice for mixed and write-heavy enterprise workloads.
Consistent Performance Under Mixed Workloads
Enterprise firmware maintains consistent latency during mixed read/write activity, keeping databases, caches and VM storage responsive at high queue depths.
Built for Continuous Data Center Use
Power-loss imminent protection, end-to-end data integrity and a 2-million-hour MTBF support 24/7 operation in hot-swap U.2 bays.
Setup Instructions
How to Install the Solidigm D7-P5620 1.6TB
- Confirm your server has a 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe bay and current firmware.
- Install the SSD in the server’s drive carrier.
- Insert the carrier into the NVMe bay; hot-plug where the platform supports it.
- Verify the drive in the BMC or OS and assign it as a cache, log or data volume.
