The Solidigm D5-P5430 15.36TB is a 2.5-inch, 15mm U.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe enterprise SSD built on QLC NAND. It delivers TLC-class read performance at high density, giving data centers a cost-efficient way to move read-intensive workloads such as content delivery, AI data lakes and analytics from hard drives to flash.

Moving Read-Heavy Data From Hard Drives to Dense Flash

Content libraries, AI training data and analytics archives are mostly read, not written. Storing them on hard drives keeps costs down but limits throughput, while TLC NVMe drives can be expensive at scale.

The D5-P5430 uses enterprise QLC NAND to deliver high density and strong read performance at a lower cost per terabyte. Data centers can consolidate racks of hard drives into fewer NVMe bays, cutting power, space and latency.

3. Insert the carrier into an NVMe bay; hot-plug where supported.
4. Verify detection in the BMC or OS, then add the drive to your storage pool or array.
