Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
A 100-Inch TV Is Expensive, Heavy, and Hard to Get Through the Door
Very large TVs cost a great deal, need two or more people to install, and dominate the wall when off. Standard projectors solve the size problem but bring ceiling mounts, long cables, and a dark-room requirement.
The LS650 sits on a low cabinet like a soundbar. Its 0.28:1 ultra short throw lens projects a 100-inch image from about 1 foot 11 inches, and it handles sizes from 60 to 120 inches.
A 3LCD laser engine provides 3,600 lumens of color and white brightness, so the picture holds up in daylight. The laser is rated for 20,000 hours, and 4K PRO-UHD processing with HDR sharpens streaming and disc content.
TV-Style Viewing at 100 Inches and Beyond
Android TV offers direct access to streaming apps, and HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC connect consoles and audio gear. Three LCD chips mean no rainbow artifacts.
Built-in Yamaha Sound and Simple Setup
A Yamaha-designed 2.1 system with dedicated subwoofer supplies room-filling audio. Setup is aided by the Epson Setting Assistant app, and noise drops to 23dB in Eco mode.
