Its laser phosphor engine runs up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode, and a compact 6.6 lb body with 1.3x zoom makes it a simple lamp-free replacement for older installation projectors.
Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
High-Brightness Projectors Used to Mean Heavy Units and Frequent Lamp Changes
Until recently, reaching 5,000 lumens required a large chassis and a high-wattage lamp that burned out after a few thousand hours. For schools and businesses this meant reinforced mounts, higher power bills, and recurring service calls.
The LS740W produces 5,000 ANSI lumens from a laser phosphor source while drawing about 210W. The light source is rated for 20,000 hours in normal mode and 30,000 in Eco, and it reaches full brightness within seconds of power-on.
A Texas Instruments 0.65-inch DLP chip gives stable, sharp WXGA images, and the 16:10 format matches most laptop outputs for direct, unscaled presentation.
5,000 Lumens in a Compact Body
High output supports images up to 300 inches, so one model can serve both a seminar room and a multipurpose hall. Text remains legible with lights on, which keeps audiences engaged.
Lamp-Free and Easy to Integrate
Two HDMI inputs, USB power for wireless dongles, an audio output, and RS-232 control cover typical AV setups. The sealed laser engine minimises dust-related upkeep.
