Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Budget Classroom Upgrades Still Need to Fix Shadows
Schools replacing ageing projectors often have 4:3 pull-down screens, VGA cabling in the walls, and tight budgets. They still need to solve the everyday problem of teachers standing in the projector beam.
The PS501X is designed for exactly that upgrade path. Its 0.61 throw ratio lens fills an 80-inch 4:3 screen from about 3.3 feet, and native XGA resolution maps cleanly to older lesson material. HDMI 1.4 and two VGA inputs let it reuse existing cabling.
A 190W lamp delivers 3,500 ANSI lumens with a 22,000:1 contrast ratio. In Eco mode the lamp is rated for up to 15,000 hours.
Short Throw for Small Teaching Spaces
Images from 30 to 300 inches are supported. Vertical keystone squares the picture when the projector sits on a low cart or high mount.
Simple, Portable, and Economical
At 5.7 lbs with a built-in 2W speaker, RS-232 control, and VGA monitor out, the PS501X works as a shared projector on a trolley or as a fixed install.
