Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Short Rooms Need Short Throw, and Daily Use Needs Laser
Small classrooms and simulator bays offer only a few feet between projector and screen. A standard lens cannot fill the wall, and anyone standing near the screen blocks the beam. Lamp-based short throw units add a second headache: lamp replacement on a ladder above the board.
The LS711HD combines a 0.49 throw ratio with a laser phosphor source. From 3.6 feet it creates a 100-inch 1080p image, and the laser is rated for 20,000 hours in normal mode and 30,000 in Eco. It draws about 210W.
A 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 4,200 ANSI lumens keep the picture defined under classroom lighting.
100 Inches From 3.6 Feet
The short throw lens removes presenter shadows and suits ceiling mounts close to the screen. Image sizes from about 35 to 300 inches are supported.
Light, Efficient, and Lamp-Free
At 6.95 lbs the projector fits standard mounts. Two HDMI inputs, USB power, an audio output, RS-232, and a 15W speaker complete a simple installation.
