Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Replacing an Old Lamp Projector Without Rebuilding the Room
Many organisations want to retire lamp-based projectors but cannot move the mount, the screen, or the cabling. If the new unit’s lens does not cover the old throw distance, the upgrade turns into a construction project.
The LS850WU’s 1.36–2.18:1 zoom spans most standard-throw positions, and its lens shift, ±23% horizontal and ±50% vertical, re-centres the image without tilting. Installers can usually hang it on the existing bracket and align it optically.
The laser phosphor light source is rated for 20,000 hours and delivers 5,000 ANSI lumens with a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Maintenance drops to almost nothing compared with the lamp unit it replaces.
