Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
A First Projector Should Not Force a Choice Between Movies and Games
Affordable projectors often fall short in one of two ways. Some are too dim to use before dark. Others add so much processing delay that games feel sluggish. Either flaw sends buyers back to a smaller TV.
The HD28HDR covers both needs at an entry price. A 240W lamp and 0.47-inch DLP chip produce 3,600 lumens, and the 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio gives films reasonable depth. Enhanced Gaming Mode drives the chip at 120Hz with 8.4ms input lag.
HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 lets the projector accept 4K HDR10 signals from current consoles and streaming sticks, then scale them to 1080p, so you do not need to change source settings.
Fast 120Hz Gaming on a Big Screen
At 1080p/120Hz the picture updates twice as often as standard 60Hz, which reduces motion blur. Combined with 8.4ms latency, fast shooters and sports titles feel direct.
Light, Simple, and Economical
A 1.1x zoom and 1.47–1.62:1 throw ratio place a 120-inch image at about 13 to 14 feet. The lamp lasts up to 15,000 hours in Eco mode, the fan runs at 26dB, and a 3W speaker provides basic sound.
