It pairs a 240Hz mode with 4.2ms response at 1080p, HDR10 and HLG support, and two HDMI 2.0 inputs, giving players and movie fans a bright 100 to 300-inch picture in everyday living rooms.
Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Living Rooms Are Too Bright and Too Busy for a Typical Cinema Projector
Dedicated theater rooms are rare. Most people project onto a living room wall with windows, lamps, and family traffic. In that setting a dim projector looks flat, and a slow one makes games feel disconnected from the controller.
The UHD38x is specified for that reality. Its 240W lamp and DLP engine deliver 4,000 ANSI lumens, enough to overcome moderate ambient light. A 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast figure and HDR10/HLG processing restore depth once the room is dimmed for a film.
For gaming, the Enhanced Gaming Mode trims latency to 4.2ms at 1080p/240Hz and 16.9ms at 4K/60Hz. Single-chip DLP also avoids the panel alignment drift that can soften three-chip designs over time, so the 4K image stays crisp.
Bright 4K Image for Mixed Use
The UHD38x handles films, sport, and games without changing hardware. Colors remain saturated at high brightness, and 4K resolution keeps subtitles and scoreboards clean from typical seating distances.
Quiet, Compact, and Straightforward to Place
At 8.8 lbs it suits a shelf, table, or ceiling mount. The 1.1x zoom covers a 1.50–1.66:1 throw, horizontal and vertical keystone square the picture, and a 10W speaker plus optical audio out give you simple sound options.
