Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Short Throw Projectors Have Usually Meant Compromising on Brightness
Placing a projector close to the screen solves shadows and space problems, yet many short throw models struggle in daylight. Lamp-based units also lose output over time, so the bright picture on day one is noticeably duller a year later.
The GT1090HDR combines a 0.50:1 lens with a 4,200-lumen laser phosphor engine. Laser brightness is more stable across its life, 20,000 hours at full power and 30,000 in Eco mode, and the unit starts and shuts down quickly.
A 0.65-inch DLP chip, 300,000:1 dynamic contrast, and HDR10/HLG compatibility give the image depth. HDMI 2.0 accepts 4K sources, which the projector scales to its native 1920 x 1080 resolution.
High-Brightness Laser Image From Four Feet
The projector covers image sizes from about 36 to 301 inches. At 16.4ms input lag for 1080p/60Hz, it is responsive enough for most console games as well as films and live sport.
Durable Engine and Broad Connectivity
The sealed laser engine resists dust and needs no filter. Two HDMI ports, VGA, composite, USB, RJ-45, RS-232, and a 12V trigger support everything from legacy sources to automation systems.
