Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Thermal Receipts Fade and Blacken Near Kitchen Heat
Thermal paper reacts to heat. Above a grill or under a heat lamp, a thermal order ticket can darken until it is unreadable, and grease or steam accelerates the problem.
The TM-U220B uses a 9-pin impact mechanism and an ink ribbon on ordinary bond paper. Tickets are unaffected by heat and remain legible through a full service.
An ERC-38 black and red ribbon enables two-color printing, so allergy warnings and special instructions stand out. Multi-part paper can also be used when duplicate copies are needed.
Kitchen-Proof Order Tickets
The printer accepts 58, 70, or 76 mm paper and prints at 4.7 lines per second. An auto-cutter separates each order.
Networked and Rugged
A 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface with DHCP places the printer anywhere on the POS network. Drop-in paper loading and a robust housing suit demanding environments.
