Why USB Drives Cannot Run Xbox Series X|S Optimized Games

Xbox Series X|S games are designed around the console’s custom NVMe storage and Xbox Velocity Architecture. USB hard drives and SSDs can store these games, but cannot run them, so players must keep shuffling titles between internal and external storage.
