Its 80-sheet feeder scans up to 60 pages or 120 images per minute, while the A4 flatbed captures books, passports, and fragile pages in about 1.7 seconds over USB 3.0.
Deep-Dive Story & Problem/Solution
Some Documents Cannot Go Through a Feeder
Hospitals, banks, and government counters scan passports, bound files, thin carbon copies, and damaged pages along with ordinary stacks. Running two separate scanners doubles the hardware and software to manage.
The fi-7260 puts a 60 ppm feeder and a flatbed in one unit controlled by one driver. Operators switch between them without changing workstations.
PaperStream IP converts scans into clean, OCR-ready images, and PaperStream Capture automates batch separation and indexing.
Protected Feeding
Sound-based paper protection, a skew reducer, and ultrasonic multi-feed detection guard originals and prevent missed pages.
Flexible Media
The feeder handles plastic cards and long documents, and the flatbed covers originals up to 216 x 297 mm.
